Wellbeing first: Learning adapted to mood

A short daily mood check that adapts content to your child's emotional state — for deeper learning and better wellbeing.

Simply explained

Wellbeing check in three easy steps

Before each learning session the pupil answers a short question about mood and energy. The AI uses the answer to tailor the content.

1

Mood check

The pupil chooses an emoji that shows how they're feeling today — it takes under 5 seconds.

2

AI adapts content

The platform adjusts difficulty, session length and tone based on mood and energy.

3

Parents & teachers get insight

Wellbeing trends appear in the dashboard so adults can spot patterns and react early.

The wellbeing check is always voluntary — you can skip it

Adaptive adjustment

How the AI adapts to your child's mood

The platform responds discreetly to mood and energy — the pupil experiences it as a natural adjustment, never as a restriction.

Integrated across the platform

Wellbeing connects all parts of learning

The mood check influences four core areas for a cohesive experience.

VARK learning style

Visual pupils see colourful emojis. Auditory pupils can hear the question read aloud.

Metacognition

Low mood gives softer reflection prompts: 'That's perfectly okay' instead of 'What could you do better?'

Interleaved learning

Fewer topics are mixed when mood is low, so the pupil encounters familiar material instead of new.

Focus & breaks

Low energy shortens the work interval by 20% and suggests calming break activities.

The research behind wellbeing and learning

Research shows a clear link between pupils' emotional state and their ability to learn. When pupils feel safe and well, they are more open to new challenges and remember better.

The DfE's wellbeing measurement emphasises the importance of monitoring and supporting pupils' wellbeing as an integrated part of teaching.

Based on UK wellbeing research, DfE guidelines and Durlak et al. (2011) on social-emotional learning.

Design principles

The wellbeing check is safe and voluntary

Always voluntary

The pupil can always skip the wellbeing check. It never blocks access to learning.

No wrong answers

All moods are valid. Low mood leads to support, not punishment or restrictions.

Private by default

Data is only shared with parents and teachers who already have access to the pupil.
