The line is built only for subjects where the teacher has published a term grade. Parents never see drafts or interim percentages.
Per subject, per child
Pick the child from tabs — ScrollArea for under 6 children, dropdown above 6. One colour per subject, no overload.
Class context follows along
The trajectory is queried against the child's homeroom class, so subjects match the real timetable — not historic moves.
Design tokens
Colours come from your CSS tokens (chart-1..5). Dark mode, high contrast and brand alignment all happen automatically.
Smart timeline
We flip the order so the oldest points always come first, and month labels follow the parent's locale (en-GB vs da-DK).
Realtime per parent
Appeal notifications arrive on a realtime channel scoped to the parent's own user — no raw database calls on the client.

Frequently asked questions
Why is a subject missing from the chart?
The teacher has not yet published a term grade for that subject. As soon as the term closes and the grade is published, the line appears on its own.
Can we see individual tests?
No. The chart is deliberately aggregated. Single results belong to the pupil and teacher, not to the parent's overview.
Does it scale to 5-step, A–F and 7-step?
Yes. Grades render on the scale the gradebook actually uses. UK schools see the letter scale; DA schools see the 7-step scale.
