What if mum and dad want different channels?

Each parent has their own channel selection per event type. Dad can be on push, mum on digest — for the same child.

Does the notification arrive if the parent's app is closed?

Yes — push is delivered by the OS layer (APNs/FCM), and email/digest is the backup track. History is always available in the parent portal.

We send only what's needed (child name, event, time, location) — no third party in between. The DPA's after-school guidance is the baseline.

Can shared custody be handled?

Yes — both guardians get access and control their own channel. Foster carers and step-parents can be added by the school with consent.
