What if a child miss-taps or the network lags?

The event is queued locally on the kiosk and syncs as soon as the connection returns. Staff see a 'delayed' status in the live view.

Can other parents see my child's location?

No — parents only see their own children. Staff only see children in the after-school unit they belong to. access control enforces it.

Do you store location data longer than needed?

The live view clears at end of day. The daily log follows the school's retention policy — typically 12 months, per DPA guidance.

What about school patrol or bus drivers picking up?

Schools can add approved collectors per child. They get a separate tap flow with a named confirmation in the parent notification.

Live check-in / out kids tap, staff see, parents know

The child taps their name on the kiosk and picks a tile. Staff get a live overview grouped by room or zone, and can move or override with two clicks. Mis-tap protection keeps parent notifications honest — in line with GDPR Art. 5 (accuracy) and DPA guidance.

Everyday flow

Anna taps at 13:42 → 'Workshop'. Staff see her at once. At 14:55 she's moved to 'Yard'.

Parent calls

'Where's Liva?' — pedagogue opens console, sees 'Hall, last moved 14:30'. Two seconds.

Forgotten tap

Mikkel leaves without tapping out. Pedagogue checks him out in the console — dad gets the same notification.

The mis-tap guard means you never get a false 'gone home' message. When your child actually leaves, the message arrives — not before.
